Snipping tool is a very nice tool provided in Windows. It is a very useful tool provided in windows. By the help of this tool we can cut a piece of picture from our screen. 

How to open Snipping Tool
To open snipping tool in Widows Simply write snip in search box after pressing windows button. 


When you click on snipping tool the below given screen appears.

How to use Snipping Tool
To snip an image we have to simply click on New button or press Ctrl + N for taking a snip. When we do so screen becomes dull and a plus symbol appears by which we can cut a piece of image from the screen and later on save it in an image file or copy it to any other software.

Menus in Snipping Tool
File Menu Commands
New Snip (Ctrl + N): It is used to take a new snip.

Save as (Ctrl + S): It is used to save the taken snip. 
The taken picture can be stored in the form of an image file. The types in which it can be stored are: 
1. PNG (Portable Network Graphic File)
2. JPG
3. GIF
4. Single file HTML (MHT) 

Send to: with the help of send to we can send the snipped image through email. 

Print (Ctrl + P): to print the snipped image to selected printer from top left. It doesn't gives much options so its better to take the image to any other software for editing and printing. But can be used for instant printing purpose.

Edit Menu Commands
Copy: By using Copy (Ctrl + C) command we can take the snipped image to any other software. 

Edit with Paint 3D: By clicking on this in command the image will be taken to Paint 3D software directly for editing or other purpose.

Tools Menu Commands
Pen: is used to write something on the snipped matter.
Highlighter: is used to highlight
Eraser: is used to erase the marking done by pen and highlighter.

It has four modes for snipping. 
1. Free form snip
2. Rectangular snip
3. Window snip
4. Full Screen snip

1. Free form snip: With the help of this an image can be cut in any shape. It totally depends on the movement made.

2. Rectangular snip: With the help of this an image can be cut in a rectangular shape.

3. Window snip: It takes the snip of the open window. 

4. Full Screen snip: It is used take the image of the full screen. Whatever is on screen can be stored as an image.
