MAIL MERGE IN COREL DRAW
MAIL MERGE IN COREL DRAW
Those who have worked in MS-Word should be knowing about Mail Merge. In mail merge we need two documents, one having list and other in which a common matter in which the data from the list gets merged to form a new document.
Today in this blog you will learn about merging in Corel Draw. Suppose in case you have made a Certificate and you want to print different names on it or a letter of depositing fees. Than first of all you have to create a list. To create a list you can use Excel. Type down the list in Excel and save it in .csv file format.
Than type down the letter which you have to send to all. Once your letter or matter is set.
Click on Create/ Load in Print Merge Tool Bar. A menu will appear, where we have to choose, "Import text from a file or an ODBC data source".
After clicking next we will choose file and click on open and select file type as ".csv" and choose the saved file.
After clicking next "Add Field" dialogue box will appear. Here we will see that fields of our file will appear. Here we can add a new field other than we have in our file.
After clicking next. Here we get option to "Add or Edit Records". Here we can modify our saved records or add/delete records to existing file.
After clicking next. We get a dialogue box where we can save settings of our merged file. Here we have to select "Save data settings as" and than give a file name in ".rtf / .txt / .csv" format. This helps us to retrieve our data next time when we open our file.
Once our fields are merged we can place them by choosing from field and inserting them at the desired place. (as set in letter given below)
Once all the fields are set. We can use Print or Merge to New Document command for output.
When we give "Print" it prints all the pages from the selected printer, which will occur after merging the data.
When we give "Merge to New Document" we get all pages merged down to new file. Here we can print all or some pages according to our choice and also can modify them.
